Until Its Over Over There:
LIVE FROM LA JUNTA!

A re-creation of a World War II
home front radio broadcast

The show you are about to see is a re-creation of the World War II Armed Forces Radio broadcast, modeled after the shows that were hosted by Glenn Miller and Bob Hope. The setting for this show is the U.S. Army Air Forces Advanced Flying School at La Junta, Colorado. The date is Thursday, May 10, 1945.

The cast and crew of the show, which usually airs from New York City, is in La Junta for a special broadcast commemorating the new mission in La Junta: training flyers in the massive B-17 "Flying Fortresses." On May 8, however -- while the band was rehearsing -- the world learned of Allied victory in Europe. The show, then, became a spontaneous celebration anticipating the return of the "fellas" who had been overseas fighting the good fight.

After the show will be a rare opportunity for the general audience to meet men and women that served on the base when it was operational during WWII. One individual will even be recognized as being stationed at the La Junta Army Air Base from 1942 to 1946 who is celebrating his 90th birthday that week.

Please come to the show and enjoy the hour long program and pay your respects to our special guests that served us all so proudly during World War II.

Enjoy the show!
